Replica Weaponry offers one of the largest
specialty sword and dagger replica selections on the internet. With over 250
intriguing sword or dagger reproductions available, from Samurai to the Civil
War to Fantasy items, we feel confident in saying that we probably have
something here to match your interest or need.
Our sword reproductions combine traditional patterns and construction with
modern materials. Sword blades are made of 440C high carbon steel, stainless
steel and some with zinc alloys. Most swords are made with a traditional tang
design, where the "handed" portion of the blade is hammered for
fitting of a handle piece, instead of making the sword and its handle fit
together as separate pieces of metal.
A wide range of sword selections is available, in varying degrees of
decoration, to satisfy our customers. All our swords make fantastic decorations,
collectibles, props or out-of-the-ordinary gifts (which can be good when trying
to find that "special gift" for a history buff).
A sword is a long-edged weapon or thrusting piece of metal, used in many
civilizations throughout the world. A sword fundamentally consists of a blade
and a hilt, typically with one or two edges for striking and cutting, and a
point for thrusting. The blade can be double-edged or single-edged, the latter
often having a secondary "false edge" near the tip. When handling the sword, the
long or true edge is the one used for straight cuts or strikes, while the short
or false edge is the one used for backhand strikes.
