Armour (or armor) is protective clothing intended to defend its wearer from intentional harm in combat typically associated with soldiers.
Armor has been used throughout history. The first armors were made of leather,
hides, and bone. As technology developed bronze and steel were used. Today
these have been replaced with modern fabrics like Kevlar, Dyneema and ceramics.
In European history, well-known armor types include the lorica segmentata of the Roman legions, the mail hauberk of the early medieval age, and the full steel plate harness worn by later Medieval and Renaissance knights, and a few key components, (breast and back plates) by heavy cavalry in several European countries until the first year of World War I.
Produced by master craftsmen including Windlass
Steelcrafts and Armaduras, our Armour upholds the tradition of fine
craftsmanship and has been faithfully reproduced. Here we offer a collection of
fine helmets, gauntlets, breastplates, Cuirass, Tasssets and Mail Armor
