Denix Western Percussion Cap M1855 6 Shot Repeating Replica Rifle
The .56 caliber 5-shot Colt revolving rifle was first available in 1855, while the .44 caliber model would hold 6 cartridges. Used by troops, particularly Union troops in The American Civil War, once loaded, its rate of fire was considerably faster than that of muzzle loaders. The unique quality of this historic rifle replica is obvious, a revolving cylinder rifle! This was a leap forward in efficiency over the muzzle-loaded weapons of most Civil War soldiers! A non-firing replica of the Colt original, this rifle clearly demonstrates the revolving cylinder system. Although this Percussion rifle looks real in almost every way, and the parts function much like the original, parts cannot be interchanged or the replica made to fire ammunition.
